TLDR: Opponents of legal hemp products are using the government shutdown to sneak harmful language into a Senate Appropriations Bill. This language would effectively ban all hemp-derived products, including CBD. If passed this would:

- Put approximately 300,000 American jobs at risk.
- Devastate thousands of small hemp businesses that operate legally & safely while having no effect on illegal activity.

2025 Hemp Ban Update: What You Can Do to Prevent It
In 2021, Delta 8 Resellers started out with one simple mission. Give customers SAFE access to QUALITY products that enhance their lives at AFFORDABLE PRICES. This is the cornerstone of how we operate, and we’ve done everything within our power to be a model for how things should be done.
WHAT SHOULD BE HAPPENING…
Since starting out as a small family business committed to serving our community, we’ve heard so many incredible stories from customers. We’ve received letters from senior citizens who can finally afford to deal with previously unmanageable pain, veterans who can finally sleep well at night and the list goes on and on. We’ve seen the best side of what legal hemp can do for people.
We’ve also seen the need since day one for some real, responsible regulation to ensure the overall efficacy and safety of the products that are on the market and how the industry operates.
We would LOVE to see the following happen:
- Federal age requirement of 21+ to purchase hemp-derived cannabinoids (if this was enforced across the board, it would create fair/level competition in the market and weed out a ton of bad actors).
- Stricter packaging and marketing guidelines that do not appeal to children (We get it, adults like to have fun too! But the line needs to be drawn somewhere)
- Science based safety requirements and standardized third-party lab testing guidelines (you should always know EXACTLY what it is you’re getting!)
WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING…
No one could believe how widely accepted and loved federally legal hemp products would become. Now, major corporations in Cannabis, Alcohol and Big Pharma are feeling threatened. Their highly paid lobbyists are pressing government officials to BAN HEMP PRODUCTS in the free market to eliminate competition and maintain their monopolies. They are spending millions on propaganda campaigns painting the hemp industry in a light that could not be further from reality.
THE PROPOSED BAN HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CONSUMER SAFETY
The reality is it’s all about politics, money, power & control. The ultimate goal of the ban is to increase corporate profits by limiting the market and price gauging you, the end consumer.
If they were ACTUALLY worried about you, it would be very easy for them to reasonably regulate the products as we described above (and we’d be right there asking you to support it).
A HEMP BAN IS DANGEROUS!
The only thing a ban does is force businesses who currently operate legally out of business. Over 300,000 American jobs would be lost, and millions of consumers would lose convenient, safe access to the products they love.
BAD ACTORS DON’T FOLLOW LAWS!
Passing a law only affects the ones who follow it. Banning access to legal hemp products opens the door for Black Market activity that is 100% unregulated and unsafe. This would be a major step backwards and it would be a shame to see the fallout from such irresponsible actions.
